The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. – Lamentations 3:25-26

Often a scriptural verse can be a seed for meditation, a lesson in prayer, a page from a workbook, a dictionary of the Spirit, or a starting point for discussion and for self-criticism. Sometimes a key helps to still our mind and give us focus when we sit quietly.

And then something powerful happens.

But ’tis not that we should abide in Darkness, but walk through it, and come out of it by following the Light of Christ, that in his Light we may see more Light, and so come to receive the Light of Life. (Elizabeth Bathurst, 1655?-1685)
